Congratulations to Benjamin Grannis, son of Member

Congratulations to Benjamin Grannis, son of Member Roger Grannis, who on September 3 completed the final stage of his cross country self- supported bike ride.
Ben started his ride in Provincetown, MA in August, 2021 and pedaled a generally Northern route out to Washington State. After a break, he then cycled down the West coast all the way to the border of Mexico, just south of San Diego. Ben cycled over 7,000 miles during this epic ride.
He dedicated his ride to an initiative called Eyes Up Ride supporting Text Less Live More which promotes ending distracted driving. Ben’s ride and related activities have so far raised over $40,000 for this cause, and he is shooting to reach $50,000 by year end. Among his key sponsors is the Ridgefield Bicycle Company.
Roger Grannis, RBC Member and Ben’s Dad, himself did a cross country ride in his youth, so it appears that long distance cycling runs in the Grannis family! Great to have the Grannis clan associated with the Club.
